Katherine Everett Scholarship

The club gives a $1,500 scholarship to a Durham senior going to a 4-year college. Our recipient then competes in the Sallie Southall Cotton Scholarship on the District level.

Free Little Libraries

Members collect children and adult books for area Free Little Libraries. Lynn Odom distributes the books throughout the year.

Adopt-a-Teacher

We adopt the teachers of a Durham school for a year. In 2025, we gave treats each month to 10-15 staff members at Githens Middle School. Each year we change schools. WE have done Brogden, Rogers Herr and Shepard.

Dr. Seuss' Birthday

We read to an area preschoolers each year near Dr. Suess' birthday, March 2. Books are collected to give each preschooler.
